I have a very high arch and plantar fascia. I wear New Balance walking shoes with an orthotic. Descriptions of Sof Sole products say they either support high arch or cushion the heel of plantar fascia, but not both. What is your recommendation?

Asked by: esmiller
We recommend trying the Plantar Fascia insole or the Arch Performance insole. The Plantar Fascia insole is ¾ length and is made specifically to help ease arch and heel pain. The stability plate underneath the arch provides sturdy support and the heel cup helps stabilize the foot. If you are looking for a full length, cushioning insole with a high arch, we recommend trying the Arch Performance insole. The Arch Performance insole does not feature a stability plate, however, the high arch still provides plenty of support for high arches. Also, the Arch Performance insole feature a deep heel cup for stability and targeted gel drops for extra comfort.

On my plantar fascia insoles, one of the gel pads on the bottom became sticky and stuck to the inside of my shoe, but the other didn’t and will scoot around in the shoe as I walk. What do I do?

Asked by: KirstenAlmighty
Make sure the insoles are snug into the heel of you shoe. Using double sided adhesive is also helpful to hold the insole in place. Some shoes may allow you to place it comfortably underneath the existing insole as well. For similar, full length support we recommend trying our FIT insoles.

I need "The Plantar Fascia Orthotic Insole" in Mens Shoe Size 13. Will the Mens Size 8-12 work with my 13 shoe size?

Asked by: Rob123
The Plantar Fascia insole is meant to fit up to a Men’s size 12. We would not be able to guarantee that it would fit a Men’s size 13. If you are looking for a larger rigid insole, we recommend taking a look at our FIT Insole line. They are made for three different arch heights and they all have a very rigid anatomical nylon plate that offers rigid support and a deep heel cup. You can view them here:

Do I remove the insert that came with my shoe before putting the sof sole insert in?

Asked by: Roadrunner
We do typically suggest removing the original insole from your shoe before inserting the Sof Sole insole, however it is entirely up to your personal preference and comfort level. It is possible to wear them both. Because you are wearing the Plantar Fascia insole and it is ¾ length, we would recommend trying it on top of your current shoe insole.

Did the sizing recently change? I just bought my 3rd pair of women’s, and they do not fit well at all,  or support anything. The last 2 fit perfect and stayed in place in my slippers and sandals perfectly. I thought I remembered getting a “Medium” pair

Asked by: Lora
The sizing of this insole has not recently changed. This insole is available in two different forms. The Men’s pair fits the sizes 8-12 and the Women’s fits 6-10.

Our Plantar Fascia insole should fit sizes 5-10 without being trimmed.

Which of your inserts are hard, rigid plastic, 3/4 length. Is there a fill size version? for Plantar.

Asked by: liza
The only rigid ¾ length insole that we make is our Plantar Fascia insole and it is not currently available in a full length size. If you are looking for something with a rigid arch and full length, we would recommend taking a look at our FIT insole line. They are available in three arch heights and can be found here:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Run with these I had plantar fasciitis for ~2 years and was keen to avoid straining this region again. I have these in my running shoes and they are fabulous - help a lot with impact and the arch gives some spring back to the foot. I wish I had found these back in the days when my feet were really bad as I feel certain they would have shortened the recovery time. They aren't the cheapest but you get what you pay for and they still look and act like new after about 2 years of use (not daily, but frequent). Great heel cushioning and great arch support (stiff plastic with cushioned overlay).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Part of a Plantar Fascia Treatment Regimen I a physician as well as an intermittent runner. I run as little as two miles per week to upwards of forty. Since I started running three years ago I have done six half marathons and one full. I started training for my full marathon last year and during my training I developed plantar fasciitis. I have tried boots, night splints and comfort bands as well as exercises. All my efforts helped but couldn't cure my plantar fasciitis. I realized that the interventions I was doing while off my feet were only part of the treatment plan. I purchased SofSole Plantar Fascia insoles about one month ago and my plantar fasciitis pain is lessening. I truly believe that these are an essential part of the treatment plan for plantar fasciitis. Matt N, M.D.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product I've used from Sof Sole I have used several Sof Airr Orthotic full length and liked them and tried this version to see if it would improve with my plantar fasciities -- this is the worst product ever. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have time to test it before going on my vacation and this product caused my left foot to over pronate causing it to hurt after two days days of walking! I removed them and my feet fell much better without them so I'm continuing to walk without them since I did not bring the Orthotic full length with me. I've wasted money on this version of Sof Sole and do not recommend you waste your money on this as well.
